innovation. This is an exciting period of growth for us and we are looking for a driven Toolmaker/1st Class Machinist to join our team.
As Toolmaker/CNC Machinist at DefendTex you will support the Engineering team to develop leading edge products and systems for use in
tomorrow’s defence technology.
You will have experience in:
• Manual machining practices
• CNC machining
• CAD/CAM software
• Selection of material for purpose
• Selection and application of tooling
You need:
• Trade Qualified Fitter and Turner
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Understanding of Fanuc/ISO G Code
• Ability to satisfy Baseline Security Clearance
• As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain

Desirable:
• Forklift licence
• Welding with MIG, TIG and Arc
• Ability to troubleshoot engineering processes and design changes
