Undergraduate Internship Placements
DefendTex offers undergraduate internships on an ongoing basis throughout each calendar year. Internships can be tailored to a specific DefendTex project, Weapon X application, or general placement across engineering disciplines:
- Mechanical
- Electrical / Electronic
- Aerospace and Aeronautical
- Mechatronics
- Software / Programming
Applicants must be eligible to meet the requirements for Baseline Security Clearance.
Flexible placement options
- 350 hours (12–15 weeks) throughout semester, coupled with continuous study
- 6 months full-time
- 12 months full-time
- Defence Industry Internship Program (DIIP)
- Naval Shipbuilding College Scholarship internship placements
- Other combinations as negotiated
Student Project Engagement
Students can engage through Final Year Capstone Projects and other collaborative research pathways.
